Sure, it could all be brinksmanship. And on the tevye hand, it could be that Netanyahu and the Likud have their asses planted on the sweating dynamite of a sabra population which can still recall with fondness the myth of the golden flower a'bloom in the desert. The kibbutzim may have lost out to the corporate raiders and a wave of privatization, but their children and grandchildren haven't yet forgotten the promise of a socialist homeland.

I have no idea whether Netanyahu's a racist, but I do think they're replaying the WMD Game.

And given how Yair Netanyahu turned out, I wouldn't be surprised if Bibi learned it from his pappy and then passed it on down to the his son. Ben Zion, Bibi and Yair seem a case of a blood lineage that has its parallel in a colonial racism as well.

Probably depends on how Obama’s election goes. If he thinks he’s losing then war with Iran will happen before the election. If not, then after the election. Israel is a cat’s paw. Obama really wants to go to war with Iran.
