Quotable

"I don't think you can meaningfully come to understand human progress without understanding the depths of human misery; a consideration of the human endeavor that weighs only the progress and none of those who have been progressed upon is a work of fantasy."

  2. Heh. Thanks for the heads up, Ethan.

That's what I get for not proofing.

    Will fix.

  3. Ethan,

You know what rocked? I struggled to find the words for my intro about uncertainty. I have six or so pages of yellow legal pad, trying to flesh out a single paragraph of meaning so that I didn't violate the position I meant to explication, in the explaining of it.

And then, following a rather random rhizomatic list of other people's blogrolls, I came across this blogger, and his gem of an essay.

There was a mirror to my own thinking, unique for its perspective, but sharing a large enough set of epistemes to make our experiences communicable.

    That shit rocked.

  4. It's things like that that make me think blogging is actually worthwhile, no matter how silly it can seem sometimes.
